When I show you Maria Rubinke I have to show you Louise Hindsgavl too! Louise has been working many years now with her white porcelain figurines, they are scary too, especially because they show how real life is for some people. The titels tells what they are about. (and offcourse, I forgot to write the tites for theese...UPS!) The newest figurines has other materials as strings, birds and metal worked into the figurines, I like that! The "New Talent" winner Christin Johansson www.christin.dk Was also one of the speakers at the conference ECC 2010. Christine Johansson is a very unique artist. Her way of thinking gives us so many new stories and a new way to see at the normal life. She has made lots of initiatives to show ceramic in a new context. One example is her: Window 107, an old shop window in Istedgade in Copenhagen. In the window other artists can exhibit their works so everybody who walkes by can see the works. Pictures are from her web, and you should go and see it! Im looking forward to se more from her side.
