When I show you Maria Rubinke I have to show you Louise Hindsgavl too! Louise has been working many years now with her white porcelain figurines, they are scary too, especially because they show how real life is for some people. The titels tells what they are about. (and offcourse, I forgot to write the tites for theese...UPS!) The newest figurines has other materials as strings, birds and metal worked into the figurines, I like that! It is no secret that I love glazes and this is one of my fauvorite artist using glaze. When I first saw the work of Bente Skjøttgaard www.skjoetgaard.dk, it was at her solo exhibition at Grimmerhus in 2003. At this time she had made big bowls and sculptures with a lot of glazing in many layers running beautifull down on the different shapes. I find her last work is also very interesting with the thick glaze on the clay.
