This year Kalle and I are making the: Shane Brox christmas calendar. Every day you build a figurine, furnitures or decorations. The main character is: Mixit and the baby cat Storm. You have to recycle garbage for the building project. At the same time you help the danish organization: Red Barnet (save children). The store Panduro , which I also work at is supporting the project with craft supplies. Shane is amazing and a very good storyteller, se him on both links.

This week has been a great ceramic week! Ksenia was here from Sunday till today. We have been working on our Matroyoskhas and it is going in the right direction with the project. I really enjoy to collaborate with Ksenia, I´ve learnt a lot from her, about ceramics and Russia. Today I drove her "home" to Guldagergård . We stopped at Grimmerhus , so she could see the MIUMI exhibition and I got the chance to see the exhibition of the lastest Network groups. At Guldagergård Ksenia made lunch for me and after a short look in the studios I went on. Next stop Kr. Hyllinge to get my princess from the exhibition with Susanne Pedersen . On the road again, taking a detour to Ringsted. Mette from Guldagergård told me that Malene Hartmann Rasmussen was going to have an opening on a project she did for a music and culturel school. It is so good! Im a big fan of her ceramics!

Im back in the studio after a small break... So today I startet making new products! A set of bowls, christmas decorations and since the Monsters and Mascottes collection has been such a succes I´ve decided to do a serie with five differents figurines (The sale from the new figurines are not going to the Cancer society, but I think I will do a new product later, to support them again) . In two month almost all the Monsters were sold! You can still buy them in Designer Zoo, but there are only 8 left!

Finally! Almost 100 Monsters and Mascottes at the Designer ZOO. It was a nice day at the ZOO, my sister Helle helped me all day and a great thanks to the people at Designer ZOO for helping out too! 11 monsters allready found a new home yesterday, so thats a good beginnig for the project! The project begun in the fall 2010, where the first monsters appeared at my studio. I have made all the monsters with one goal. To support the Danish Cancer society . The background story for doing this, is that i really wanted to give the society more than I usually can give. In my family people died of cancer before I was born, when I grew up uncles and aunts got cancer, some died and some survived. Friends parents have past away and now I know people who fights the illness today. I don´t know what the future will bring, but I hope that some day no one have to fight cancer anymore.

Some quick photos of the new matroyska dolls with the H.C.Andersen fairytale cut into it. And yes it is porcelain. This was the number two set of dolls from the collaboration with Ksenia .

These days Im working on different projects: 1. Miumi for the exhibition at Grimmerhus this September. 2: The Monster and Mascottes for the exhibition at Designer Zoo at July. 3. The clay illustrations for the exhibition at the museum of art in Vejen. Then there are the cookie collection with the Princess and the new Prince! My kiln is cooling down and Im waiting to see some results! Though I need to fire the Prince and Princess one more time for the gold... But then!

So I just got a new interresting project. Teresa Nielsen director of the art museum in Vejen, asked me a while ago, if I was up for a challenge. I said yes! And Im going to make some illustrations for a book. The Book is written in 1888 in a dialect of Danish, by Jacob Jacobsen, the brother of Niels Hansen Jacobsen. Im going to make small wall objects and Im very exchited, a little scared and happy about the project.
